Invitations

Drawn originally in 1999, reworked in 2025, all on actual party invitations, someone else's celebration paper carrying whatever gets stitched into it after. Soldiers, nude figures, a bird, an apple, playing card suits, comic lettering, red thread pulled into tight knots at recurring points across the panels, almost like the same wound keeps resurfacing in different pieces. Newspaper clippings worked in here and there. The material was meant for one night's occasion. What's on it now has nothing to do with that.
